Women's Health

General:

The National Women's Health Information Center: The federal government source for women's health information. This website provides free, reliable health information for women everywhere. An extensive resources section provides information on topics ranging from heart disease to pregnancy.

National Women's Health Resource Center: This non-profit organization is dedicated to helping women make informed decisions about their health and encourages women to embrace healthy lifestyles to promote wellness and prevent disease. As the national clearinghouse for women’s health information, the site's primary goal is to provide access to health information and resources.

Pregnancy/Childbirth:
Mayo Clinic-Pregnancy Center: Mayo Clinic's pregnancy center offers health information on a variety of pregnancy and childbirth issues, such as prenatal care, preparing for birth, and Caesarean delivery.

Menopause:
The North American Menopause Society: A scientific nonprofit organization devoted to promoting the health and quality of life of women through an understanding of menopause. This site contains information on such topics as early menopause, menopause symptoms, the long-term health effects of estrogen loss, and a wide variety of therapies to enhance health.

Department of Health and Human Services: The US Department of Health's website provides comprehensive information on a wide variety of health-related topics. On this site you will find sections on diseases and other conditions, aging, safety and wellness, and families and children. Also included on the site is a large reference collection of health resources and links.
National Institutes of Health: The National Institutes of Health is one of the foremost research medical centers in the Unites States. The NIH site offers the public ready access to clinical studies, health and wellness information, and research and library resources.
Food and Drug Administration: The FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and other products. The FDA's website provides information on products it regulates, recent activities and news, and a large resource section.
